Ambassadors

The AWBD Ambassador Program is composed of our most distinguished and supportive members. Ambassadors pride themselves on improving the organization through their passion and dedication. The primary mission of the AWBD Ambassador Program is to welcome new member representatives into our organization. These ambassadors instill AWBD’s meaningful values into these new members to maintain the promising future of our organization. Each new Member is assigned an ambassador to guide them in their journey into AWBD.

Ambassador Responsibilities

Familiarize yourself with AWBD’s mission, vision, and goals
Work closely with the Ambassador Committee toward the goal of supporting your mentee(s)
Support your mentee(s) through advice, advanced notification of events, guidance for being a board director, etc.
Build rapport with your mentee(s)
Monitor mentee(s) feedback and share with Ambassador Committee
Track mentee(s) preferences and metrics
Represent the Ambassador Program at events and conferences
Brainstorm ideas and participate in training and workshops
Maintain a positive image of AWBD at all times
Maintain working knowledge of Director requirements and ethics

Ambassador Criteria

Director and/or Industry experience (current and/or past for 3 years).
Number of AWBD Conferences – prior attendance of at least 1
Number of AWBD Programs (Fall, Spring, Parks Seminars) – prior attendance of at least 1
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Friendly and approachable personality.

These Ambassadors instill AWBD’s meaningful values into these new members to maintain the promising future of our organization. Each new Member is assigned an ambassador to guide them in their journey into AWBD.
