Join us in Bridgeland for an exciting day of knowledge-sharing, workshops on different aspects of optimizing water operations, and networking when we bring together local Texas utilities and Danish water professionals.

Following up on the Danish Water Technology Alliance’s thought-provoking presentation on optimizing water operations at the AWBD Annual Conference in San Antonio earlier this year, the AWBD is happy to present the Danish Water Day 2021.

During the day, three workshops offering a deep dive into optimization of waste water treatment processes, reduction of water losses and digitalization in the water sector, will facilitate great discussions on how to ensure cost-efficient and resilient utilities of the future, today.

With a wide range of water technology providers and representatives from some of the pioneering Danish utilities attending, the settings for an inspirational day of networking and knowledge-sharing are in place.

Additionally, we are honored to announce that the Danish Water Day 2021 will be officially opened by H.E. Lea Wermelin, Minister for the Environment of Denmark as well as the following speakers:

  • Morten Siem Lynge, Consul General of Denmark in Houston and Head of the Water Technology Alliance
  • Heath Melton, Executive Vice Present of The Howard Hughes Corporation
  • Auggie Campbell, Executive Director of the AWBD.Annuel

The Danish Water Technology Alliance (WTA)

The Danish Water Technology Alliance (WTA), based out of the Consulate General of Denmark, builds bridges between the North American and Danish water sector with the aim of sharing know-how and foster collaboration. Through local visits, the WTA provides specialized knowledge about Danish solutions, covering water distribution, water resource management, wastewater treatment, and sewer systems. The WTA hosts workshops and seminars locally in North America and invite North American stakeholders on dedicated fact-finding trips to Denmark – to see and experience solutions in operation and meet colleagues abroad.

A special thank you to The Howard Hughes Corporation for generously providing the venue and Alan Steinberg from the West Houston Association for moderating the opening remarks.
